Definitions of Services:

Acupuncture– An ancient Chinese medicine technique of inserting thin needles into the skin at specific points on the body. The purpose and outcome of acupuncture is to alleviate pain and other ailments by promoting the balance of physical, mental, and emotional health.

Please note for all acupuncture services!
Ensure that you have eaten before receiving acupuncture, and also please plan on taking it easy and drinking plenty of water after treatment. I would recommend not exercising after acupuncture until the following day. If you need to exercise on the day of treatment, plan on doing it BEFORE, not after the session.

List Of Services Provided:

Initial acupuncture treatment with consultation

  • In this first session we will discuss your health history and present day health concerns, any reasons for seeking acupuncture. We will discuss your goals for today's visit as well as for future treatments . Along with the consultation, this visit will include an acupuncture treatment. Please see above 'list of services provided' for cautionary measures before and after receiving acupuncture.

Follow up acupuncture treatment

  • In this visit we will continue to build upon what was discussed during the initial visit as well as any additional concerns that may have arisen since previous treatment. This visit will include further discussion, acupuncture treatment, and may include additional service such as electrical stimulation, cupping, Gua sha, depending upon individual needs.

Gua sha- as a stand alone treatment

$60 20 min.
  • Gua sha is a therapeutic technique that has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine by using a tool to rub or scrape the skin in order to bring about a circulatory reaction called petechiae or "sha". Bringing up the sha removes blood stagnation considered to be pathogenic in Chinese medicine. Many patients report feeling immediate relief from pain and stiffness, fever or chills, cough and wheezing, nausea. For these reasons Gua sha can be effective in treating acute and chronic internal organ disorders along with muscular and joint pain.

Cupping- as a stand alone treatment

  • Cupping therapy has been used for countless years across Asia to alleviate pain and ease both acute and chronic health issues. Cups are placed on the body using a suction force (through heat or a pump device) which pulls the skin slightly up into the cup. This greatly affects underlying fascia, muscles, organ systems by bringing fresh blood flow to the area thus oxygenating tissues and reducing inflammation, blood stagnation, and pain.

  • This visit is for treatment with acupuncture needles only, if and when cupping or Gua sha is not wanted or needed.

Cosmetic/Facial acupuncture

$150 65 min.
  • Based on beliefs from Traditional Chinese Medicine, the complexion reflects the body's internal balance and health. As a specialized branch of acupuncture, cosmetic or facial acupuncture focuses on the face and neck to reduce wrinkles and improve skin tone. This approach involves the insertion of fine needles (usually between 50-100 needles depending on concerns and the areas being targeted) to increase blood circulation to the skin. Enhanced blood flow brings vital nutrients and fresh oxygen to the needled areas, supporting cell regeneration and improving overall skin tone and glow. The needles penetrate below the epidermis into the upper dermis layer stimulating fibroblasts, the cells which produce collagen. Body needles are also administered to give an overall beneficial full body treatment. Packages are available upon request.

Microneedling

$300 65 min.
  • Microneedling is a safe, minimally invasive treatment that is performed using a specialized handheld device. At one end of the device is a cartridge containing several very small and sterilized needles.The needles microscopically penetrate the skin, stimulating the regeneration of the collagen and elastin producing cells in the dermis layer of the skin. The treatment has become a favorite method for reducing the appearance of wrinkles, scars, acne, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone, as well as effectively stimulating hair growth in men and women. Expect 4-10 treatments for optimal results. Packages are available upon request.

At Moving Body Chiropractic, we value your time and strive to improve your condition as quickly as possible. Once we get you feeling better, we want to help you stay that way. Our chiropractors will use all the techniques and tools in their arsenal to tailor treatments that best meet your needs.

All New Patient appointments include a thorough history and exam as well as a full treatment.  Appointments are very hands-on and education-based and will focus on your area of chief complaint, as well as your body as a whole.  Our chiropractors will also emphasize home care so that you can be a more active participant in your healing journey.  A recommended course of treatment will also be discussed.

All Follow-Up appointments consist of a discussion of how you are feeling and if anything new has presented, and thorough hands-on treatment.

Due to our treatments’ thorough and holistic nature, our chiropractors are out-of-network providers. Payment is due at the time of service.  We will provide you with a super bill, or invoice with the appropriate information so that you may submit it to your insurance company for any eligible out-of-network reimbursement.

Discounted package options are available for Adult Follow Up Treatments.  Some exclusions apply, please contact our office for purchase.

Flex spending or Health Savings Accounts are always accepted for ALL Chiropractic services.
